The Shooting Academy - OLYMPIC Bunker - Photos

The photos below show the inside of an Olympic Bunker trap-house.  There are 15 trap machines (in this case Duomatic).
During an International ISSF shoot, the traps will be sealed in their positions. I.E. The 15 traps will have their trajectories fixed, then the traps will be sealed / locked, so no-one can interfere with the settings.

Olympic Trench is an ISSF regulated game with strict rules as to target trajectory and sequencing.  To ensure no operator or referee discrepancies, the Olympic Bunker game is controlled by computer.  The shooter's call of "Pull" is detected by microphones, giving instant release of the target (No shooter's complaints of "Slow-Pull").   As the game advanced, more complex computers were introduced making sure the sequencing, release of targets and scoring are accurately controlled.  (For example - when a target is released the sequencing computer will advance the program to the next shooter's target - however - if the microphones do not detect the impact blast of a shotgun from shooting at the target just released, it assumes the target released was a bad target and not shot at (bad bird), it will then back-track and release the same target again for the same shooter before advancing.  The control computer requires a "friendly" environment to operate. .
